Thinking about your newborn photoshoot, you have probably already done some research. After all, like every mum, you want the best for your baby.
So here’s the deal: instead of giving you a list of boring details and info, I will let you walk with me behind the scenes of one of my sessions…

YOUR NEWBORN PHOTOSHOOT: PREP!
Your Newborn Photoshoot might be the first little outing with your brand new bundle and, as such, you might be wondering how easy the entire process is going to be.
Being a mum, not just a photographer, I have designed the entire process (and my studio) around you and your baby.
Before you even get to the studio, we’ll make time to prepare for the session and discuss colours and styling: on the day of the session, I will have ready for you a selection of matching setups to help us create photographs that your family will treasure forever.
My studio will be kept at the right temperature for your baby and you will also find a fully equipped changing unit.
LET THE CUTENESS BEGIN: THE SESSION
Throughout the whole session, our priority will be to ensure the baby is happy, settled and relaxed and this will also help us capture on camera all of the details you love.
Some babies will do that immediately and fall asleep right after feeding, some will take more time and will need a top-up feed half way: as a photographer (and mum) I have learned to read their body language to determine in real time which poses and props are best at a specific point during the session.
You will notice that we never “force” the baby into a particular pose. We let his body lead us into creating beautiful images and we transition from one pose to the other with small, smooth, movements.
This is what we call a “baby led” session and also the reason why we can never guarantee that we’ll be able to capture a specific pose: your little one will ultimately decide!
As soon as the baby is settled, I will start snapping away using different wraps, fabrics and backdrops in the colours we have chosen.
We might also use rompers and headbands and please keep in mind that we only use natural fibers, more gentle on the soft skin of a newborn

PARENTS AND BABY IMAGES: STEP 3
“I don’t look or FEEL good, the last thing I want is to be in front of a camera!!”
Here is the thing: family images are all about that special bond. My job is to choose the best angles or help you choose some creative shots (like the one below) that will help you capture these memories without being uncomfortable.
Believe me, looking back at these images in years you will think to yourself “I am so glad I did it!”… and you will be even happier seeing your children treasure these memories: they are so memorable and irreplaceable!
At this point of the session we will also bring in siblings (where applicable) to ensure the whole family is involved.
THE END? NOT QUITE
The best is yet to come!
Approximately 2 weeks after your session I will welcome you back to the studio for your viewing and ordering appointment, where you will view your gallery (presented in a personalised slideshow) and choose which products and packages you wish to purchase.
But of course… I keep my “no-stress guarantee” until the very end of our journey: there are no hard sales or obligation to purchase. I only want you to buy what you love!
